Dr Stephen Fenton
General and Preventative Cardiologist | MBBS, FRACP, FCSANZ, FACC
Dr Stephen Fenton is a highly experienced general and preventative cardiologist, known for delivering expert cardiac care with a strong focus on early risk identification and lifestyle-driven prevention. He has been managing adult cardiac patients for more than three decades and has developed a loyal patient base throughout his longstanding career.
Dr Fenton graduated from the University of Sydney in 1976 and completed his medical training at Sydney Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Westmead Hospital. He is a Visiting Medical Officer at The Sydney Adventist Hospital and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand, and the American College of Cardiology.
His clinical interests include coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, echocardiography and coronary artery calcium (CAC) scoring. Dr Fenton played a lead role in developing the online Personal-Profile Risk Calculator, which helps identify patients who will benefit most from CAC scans. This tool has been published in the Journal of Coronary Artery Disease and is designed to streamline the early detection and management of patients at risk of heart attack.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Fenton is a strong advocate for healthy lifestyle interventions and is involved in collaborative research focused on diet, prevention and heart health. He is also a respected contributor to professional education, regularly speaking and facilitating national and international cardiology events.
As a member of the EHS Medical Advisory Panel, Dr Fenton brings deep clinical insight, decades of patient-centred experience and a strong commitment to innovation in cardiac prevention.
