Dr Davendra Segara

Breast and General Surgeon | MBBS, PhD, FRACS

Dr Davendra Segara is a specialist breast and general surgeon with clinical and research expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of both benign and malignant breast disease. He has a particular interest in minimally invasive and minimal scar breast surgery, breast conservation techniques, and the integration of reconstructive principles into oncological care.

Davendra gained his Fellowship in General Surgery in 2002, having completed most of his surgical training at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney. He went on to complete a PhD in the molecular biology of pancreatic and breast cancers at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research in 2006.

In 2007, Davendra undertook a prestigious travelling fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology at The Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. There, he gained advanced experience in imaging, surgical techniques and adjuvant therapies.

Since returning to Sydney, he has established breast surgical oncology practices in Darlinghurst and Double Bay, where he continues to offer patients the latest in evidence-based care and personalised surgical planning.
