Why does this matter?
Kidney damage can develop silently, with symptoms appearing only in later stages. These tests help identify dysfunction early, monitor hydration and acid–base balance, and reduce the risk of long-term complications, including cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, and chronic kidney disease.
